ECAD SOFTWARE ADMINISTRATOR AND APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

Software Administrator, Omnify PLM and Applications Engineer for the Electrical Design Tools and Environment used by all Electrical Engineers and PCB Designers in Florida.
Should have experience in software application support (preferably in the product lifecycle management industry). Extensive knowledge of databases (structures, programming, and communication), experience with programming, and a general knowledge of Configuration Management practices.
Detailed Description:
1. Administer, Maintain, and Provide End-User Tactical Support for the following tools:
· Cadence
· Valor
· Mentor Graphics (I nice to have but not required)
· Omnify PLM System (or experience with PLM tools such as Agile, Metaphase, MatrixOne)
· HP/Agilent (tool installation only)
2. Administer, Maintain, and Provide End-User Tactical Support for the following environments:
· Front-End Schematic Capture
· Back-End PCB Design
· Manufacturing Outputs
· PCB Library
· Digital Simulation Library
· Mechanical Model Library
· RF Library
· Electrical Simulation
3. Maintain the Electrical tools and library roadmaps, working closely with the tool vendors to drive core functionality
4. Work closely with internal and external customers to set up best business practices, workflows, policies, rules, etc.
5. Maintain the Development, Test, and Production environments
6. Perform New Release Testing (Beta testing as appropriate)
7. Develop, Configure, and Maintain local templates and customizations
· MGC lms configs, MGC pds configs, Valor ERF’s, MGC Ample
8. Continually develop and implement process improvements at all levels of the Electrical design process based on end-user requirements
9. Training of the Omnify PLM system to internal and external users
10. Development of integrations between Omnify and other systems such as ERP
11. Develop reports, interfaces, validation scripts, etc out of Omnify.
12. Assisting the New Products Team with costing and setting up new parts
Experience Required:
· Four year degree EE/CS/ME, or equivalent work experience.
· 3-5 years experience with managing and supporting am Electrical Tools environment.
· 5-10 years PCB design experience.
· Experience with Mentor Graphics Ample programming language.
· The ability to work in a team environment, along with strong oral and written communication skills is essential.
· Good understanding of Bill of Material (BOM) structures
· A good understanding of supply chain management or operations management
· Ability to communicate well and work with cross-functional teams is required.
· Experience in implementing automation steps where possible in material supply chain.
· Perform data mining functions and create reports to help manage the business at the request of management.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and a good understanding of CSV imports and exports.
· Knowledge of general Configuration Management practices:
o Documentation Control
o Part numbering schemes, Class codes, Product structures
o Change Management (ECO) processes/routing
· Database Expertise:
o Microsoft SQL Database
o Structures, Backup strategy
o Connecting and communicating
o Database maintenance
· A working knowledge of programming and programming languages:
o SQL, PHP, C#, C++, Java, etc.
